Gift Registries

Many of our friends and family have asked if we are registering somewhere... Our challenge is, given we have each owned and sold houses (and recently Kathie's condo), we have between us amassed more "stuff" than we really need or want. Really, we want to spend a wonderful day with the people we love... Our 2010 goals do not include Ironman - but instead, are to go on our official honeymoon, to buy a house, and maybe even think about a bambino. Here are a few ideas that may help in your gift giving.

    Online - makes it easy!

Our fabulous photographer, Clint Russell, of Renaissance Studios came up with the brilliant idea of offering a Wedding Photography Registry. Click on the link above to view the Registry for more information.

Contributions go toward photo developing, mounting and beautiful leather-bound photo albums, to help us remember our day.

Upside Down Greg Rubble Bubble CakeA friend and training buddy from the pool and triathlon, Greg Collett, suggested we include our Gift Registry for RBC - note that our wedding colours are orange and brown. Greg has left us a couple of comments, and he linked to our wed-site on his Blog.

  • The Adventure Travel Company

    Peru and Galapagos Islands

What do you give the couple who have just about everything? Who both owned houses, have more china, crystal, silverware and small appliances than they know what to do with, and, until they move up from a condo to a house in 2010, have most of their belongings in storage?

    ...Yes, that's right...our honeymoon!

Given we opted out of sharing our vows atop of a Peruvian landmark, we are still wanting to travel there early next year to celebrate our 'official' honeymoon by climbing the Inca Trail and chilling with the sea lions on the Galapagos Islands. Consider helping us realize the adventure as part of a wedding gift.

Kathie travelled to Thailand five years ago with Intrepid Travel, and had the adventure of a lifetime. Now, the happy couple are looking to increase the number of stamps in their passport with yet another trip - to be booked through the Adventure Travel Company, which offer gift certificates for the perfect gift - that of travel, experience, and adventure.

What's more, to make the trip truely enjoyable (and comfortable, too), Kathie is going to register for Spanish Lessons, so once there, she can do more than order a bottle of wine or a coffee with milk for either of them!

...and you know, the blog will be a lot of fun for you to follow our adventures on!

  • Canada Helps - Giving Pages

    The World Wide Web

    http://www.canadahelps.org/GivingPages/
Consider giving to many instead of two...

CanadaHelps - a public charitable foundation - is Canada's only donation portal that provides access to all of Canada's 80,000 charities, from national organizations like national cancer charities to smaller groups like local animal shelters and soup kitchens.

Now, CanadaHelps offers the GivingPages - a micro-website that allows you the ability to give to some of the many the charities we care about, as part of our wedding gift.
