Photo Album

We didn't know what each other looked like for a long ti
Strangely, most of the photos of John and me are us wearing some kind of work out gear - bike helmets, wetsuits, baseball hats. We have very few photos of us together where we are dressed up and look good.

Soon, John and I will be having some professional photos taken (engagement photos) with our photographer, Clint Russell of Renaissance Studios. I am SO excited to be working with Clint, and can't wait to have our e-session in early May. I stumbled on Clint's website quite by accident, and finding him was quite serendipitous after some rather bad photographer luck. Please visit Clint's site - he's a great guy, he takes amazing photos, and I know he'll add a lot of fun and flair to our day! And, hopefully John and I will have a few more photos to add here that don't involve work out wear!

Johnny & Kathie at Elsa & Carl's Wedding

OK here's a photo of us dressed up - I lied.

I work with Elsa and Carl at CMHC, and we had such a great time at their wedding a couple of weeks ago (even if I was getting over walking pneumonia...ugh). Elsa and Carl started dating almost around the same time John and I did - funnily, I was encouraging Elsa to date Carl (who is as handsome as Elsa is beautiful), and Elsa was kicking my butt to not let this nice guy get away... more on that later!

And then there were three...
For those of you who don't know him, this is our dog Wilson. Much like Tom Cruise in that awful movie (what was that - show me the money or something?), Wilson completes us.

Wilson was a lost little dog that John and I found one night near Avenue Road and Wilson (hence the name). It was a terribly stormy night in early August, and I saw him running down the street, turning North on Avenue Road and heading toward the on-ramp to the 401. We pulled over...I opened the door and said 'hey, little guy,' and Wilson - happy to see a warm car and friendly faces, ran in the car! We dropped him off at the 24 hour vet clinic on Sheppard, and he was later transferred to Animal Services. Wilson is a pure bred Bichon Frise, and we knew it wouldn't be long until his family picked up their lost pup.

Well, two weeks later Wilson remained in the pound, and during that time John and I decided that this was fate - he came into our lives for a reason and it was up to Carpe Diem - Sieze the Day - and bring him into our lives for good. So, on August 22, 2008, Wilson became part of our family.

Some may say he was lucky, but not a day goes by that John and I don't say 'boy, are we ever lucky!' He's such a great little man...

Wine Tasting...*blurp*...(by Kathie, the Bride)
Here is a photo of John and me with John's parents, Ron and Peggy, and my mom, Kay, taken during our recent wine tasting as we try to decide what wine to order for our big day. We had great fun, trying three reds and three whites - along with some cheese and crackers and other bits and bites. I never thought I'd get tipsy with my future in-laws, but here it is on film (well, almost, since I'm not in the photo). I think with everyone's help we managed to settle on some nice selections!

Johnny takes one for the team!!
OK, I'm not wearing a tiara for the wedding, but I happen to have one for some strange reason, and poor Johnny got it placed on his head against his will. I laughed so hard I had to take a photo - I'm sure he'll look for the delete button when he sees I put this on the website! Good thing John has a good sense of humour - he has to if he's marrying me!

Engagement Photo Shoot with Clint Russell, our Photographer
John and I met up with our photographer, Clint Russell, of Renaissance Studios for our E-Session last Friday night. With a short ferry ride from downtown Toronto, Clint, John and I, along with Wilson and our good friend Audrey, whisked away to Centre Island for a couple of hours of fun and photos! We got some AMAZING shots and Clint is absolutely fabulous! I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures, and am so excited that he will be photographing our wedding! Yay Clint! Here is just one of the many fun photos Clint took of us last week!

The Clown Heads
Here's yet another photo of John and Kathie from their recent engagement shoot on Centre Island. We were hesitant about putting this photo up on our website because of what it says and the name we opted to call it - why you ask? Well, that story is probably best told by Scott K or David E.
